Walnut-Egg Chopped "Liver" III (P, KLP, TNT)

4 large onions, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tsp. sugar
5 eggs, hard boiled
1/3 cup walnuts

Sauté the onions in the oil with the sugar on a very low light until very very soft and very lightly browned--about 1/2 hour. Transfer to a blender with the hard-boiled eggs.

In the oil remaining in the pan, sauté the walnuts for a few minutes and then add these, together with the remaining oil from the pan, to the blender. Blend all together and adjust seasoning.

Poster's Notes:
It will be difficult to find something that really resembles the taste of chopped liver. This one is one I've used for years and always gets good feedback (no pun intended).
