1 pie crust, (either a flaky crust or you can use phyllo dough)
Sauté the onions until golden and add the mushrooms. Continue to sauté until cooked. Mix in eggs and flour and the sour cream. Mix well and add spices. Pour into the baked pie shell.
Sometimes, I make this for Shabbat, with no crust at all, in a rectangular Pyrex).
Sprinkle the top with grated cheese and sesame seeds. Bake in a moderate oven for 40 minutes or until set. Serve warm.

1 can sliced mushrooms, (I always use fresh)
3 eggs
3 tbsp. flour
1 cup sour cream, (I use Rich Whip to keep it pareve)
salt, pepper
sesame seeds
grated cheese, (optional)
I have a really easy recipe for a mushroom pie that might serve that family's
needs It can be made pareve, or with minimum of dairy products. The sour cream
can be exchanged with another dairy product (whipping cream or cream cheese,
maybe) that is available Chalov Yisroel.
