Yams, Butterscotch (D, TNT)

2 17-ounce cans yams/sweet potatoes, well-drained
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Place yams/sweet potatoes in a 9"x13" baking dish. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes.

In saucepan, mix remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; boil 5 minutes. Pour over yams; continue baking, basting often, 15 minutes longer.
