Krispies, Honey (D, TNT)
Source: Odetta Danin-Schwartz
Yield: 65

200 gm. (1-3/4 sticks) unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar
5 level tbsp. cocoa powder
5 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. brandy
grated zest of 1 orange (or 2 lemons)
7 cups plain Rice Krispies

In a large pot put butter or margarine, sugar, honey and cocoa.

Melt over medium heat until no sugar granules show. Turn off the heat, add the brandy and grated peel and mix well.

Add the Rice Krispies and mix until all the Krispies are coated. Spoon the mixture into a 11" pan or a big square pan and tamp with a spoon.

Chill for 3 hours or freeze for 1 hour. Serve in thin wedges or small cubes, it's very rich and sweet.

Poster's Notes: For this sweet treat get the big bags of plain Rice Krispies, no sugar or any other additives.

A kiddie version:
200 gm. (1-3/4 sticks) unsalted butter
3 tbsp. cocoa powder
3 tbsp. honey
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
7 cups plain Rice Krispies

Prepare the same way. The grown-up version is much better (said from a grown-up point of view) but kids will go nuts for it.
