Barbecue Sauce, Sugar Free (P, TNT)
Source: From "Diabetes Forecast" February 1993
Yield: 2-1/2 cups

4 tbsp. onion, minced
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 16-ounce can tomato juice
1 cup water
1/4 cup wine vinegar
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt (optional)

Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a full boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

I have made this and kept it in a container in the refrigerator also I did freeze a batch for later use. Used it on chicken.
