Barbecue Sauce, Fiery (P, TNT)

Yield: About 2-1/2 cups

1 10-3/4-ounce jar apricot jam
1 cup catsup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/3 teaspoon ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

In medium non-aluminum saucepan, warm jam over medium heat, stirring until melted, about 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, stirring frequently, 5 minutes. Let sauce cool before using to marinate. Use for basting chicken. Store sauce in covered jar in refrigerator for up to 7 days.
