1/2 cup sugar
Combine the sugar, dry mustard, salt, and onion. Add 1/2 of the vinegar and 1/2 of the olive oil. Beat well.
Add remaining 1/2 of vinegar and remaining 1/2 of olive oil. Beat well. Add the celery seed and blend well.
If using the Chinese noodles or almonds sprinkle over top just prior to serving (can toss or leave as-is).
