1 cup mayonnaise
optional (for flavor variety):
Combine mayonnaise and ketchup, mixing well. Stir in egg, relish, onion, and seasonings (as well as any other optional ingredients). Add a bit of *buttermilk or vinegar and stir to desired consistency. Chill several hours before serving.
*plain whole milk or pareve creamer can be used here as well.

1/3 cup ketchup
1 hard boiled egg, chopped
2 tbsp. sweet pickle relish
1 tbsp. minced onion
salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder
*buttermilk or vinegar to thin down to desired consistency
1 tbsp. minced green pepper
1 tbsp. minced stuffed green olives
2 tsp. chopped parsley
2 tsp. minced pimentos
a bit of corn syrup
tomato paste instead of ketchup
Store bought varieties are loaded with chemicals/additives. I think homemade is much better tasting and better for you. This is an easy homemade recipe that I always have on hand.
