Ritachlich Mit Smeteneh (Radishes In Sour Cream) (D)

20 red radishes
salt to taste
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons wine vinegar

Slice and salt the radishes.

Mix the sour cream, sugar and vinegar and stir into the radishes.

Poster's Notes:
Oh, my, I can't put this book down. Such memories! My mother never made this but my father used to get it from a deli or a friend or whoever he could get to make it for him. Don't tell him I found the recipe, though, because he is absolutely not allowed to eat spicy foods or high fat foods or sugar or vinegar and he's on a low salt diet to boot. That pretty well takes care of every single ingredient.
