1 cup mayonnaise
In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, vinegar, dill, salt and pepper. Add macaroni, cucumber, tomatoes and scallions. Toss to coat well. Cover and chill.
Poster's Notes:
If I do not have the cucumbers or tomatoes, I often substitute lots of celery and green pepper just to bring in the crunch. It is almost as good.

2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 to 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill OR 1 teaspoon dried dill
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
8 ounces macaroni, cooked, rinsed and drained
1 cup chopped, seeded cucumber
1 cup quartered cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped scallions
This recipe is the closest I have ever found to the macaroni salad sold in the stores.
