6 cucumbers, peeled
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon dill, chopped
4 tablespoons mild vinegar
Sprinkling of caraway seeds, optional
Thinly slice the cucumbers. Mix with the salt.
Place a plate with a weight over the cucumbers to squeeze out the liquid. Drain after one hour.
Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the cucumbers.
