1 8-oz. can crushed pineapple
Drain pineapple (save liquid).
Dissolve gelatin in water and add liquid from pineapple. Beat in mayonnaise. Put in loaf pan and freeze until firm 1" from edge of pan (approximately 20 minutes).
Transfer to a large bowl and beat until fluffy. Add rest of ingredients, egg whites last.
Fold a 22" piece of tin foil in half lengthwise and tape around a one quart souffle dish. Pour in and chill. I use a jello mold instead of the souffle dish.
Always a big hit on a buffet table.

1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3 egg whites stiffly beaten
