Cole Slaw, Seven Day (P, TNT)

1 head cabbage
1 red onion (I use a regular onion - you can put onion in the liquid that you boil so you take the "sting" out of it)
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup oil (use less oil - try 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup water - perhaps experiment with less oil as you continue to make it)
1 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon dry mustard
Salt and pepper

Slice cabbage and onion thinly. Toss with 1/3 cup sugar.

Mix remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour the boiling mixture over the cabbage. Let it set for 5 minutes and then mix well. Refrigerate.
