Kasha, Basic II (M/P, TNT)

Serves: 4 to 6

1 cup kasha
1 egg
2 cups boiling water, chicken broth or beef broth
1 onion, sautéed

Mix kasha with egg in pot, cook until dry.

Add water, chicken broth or beef broth and onion and cover. Simmer about 15 minutes until liquid is absorbed.

Poster's Notes:
Sometimes I'll sauté mushrooms with the onions and a couple of cloves of minced garlic and add to the kasha.
