4 large onions, sliced thin
Cook onions slowly in Pam or a little vegetable oil until transparent. Add sugar and vinegar. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add the beans, mix well and bake about 30 minutes in a 350°F oven.

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
2 cans green lima beans, drained
1 can white lima beans, drained
1 can vegetarian beans, drained
1 can garbanzo beans, drained
2 cans kidney beans, drained
This is a versatile recipe in that you can adjust the type of beans to your liking.
