3 tbsp. oil
Heat the oil. Add garlic and turmeric and sauté 1 minute.
Add tomato paste/water mixture, olives, salt and pepper and mix. Simmer covered over low heat about 15-20 minutes.

1/8 tsp. turmeric
2 tbsp. tomato paste mixed with 1/2 cup water
1 can (Israeli) pitted green olives
salt and pepper to taste
This can be served warm as a side dish or cold as a condiment.
