2 medium onions
4-5 pound turkey breast
2 cups water
1 16-ounce bottle barbecue sauce
1 onion, chopped
10 drops hot sauce
The night before serving, put 1 sliced onion in crockpot. Add turkey, water; top with 1 sliced onion.
Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours, or until meat falls apart.
Drain contents of crockpot in colander.
Remove any bones and fat; discard onions.
Return turkey to crockpot.
Add chopped onion, barbecue sauce and hot sauce.
Cover and cook remainder of day on low, or 1-3 hours on high.
Serve on warm buns or over rice or noodles.
Poster's Notes:
The recipe has been in my collection for a long time. I think the original recipe was for chazzer, and I changed it to turkey because it sounded good.
This is only as good as the BBQ sauce that you use.
