Meatballs, Hoisin (M, TNT)

Yield: about 4 dozen

Meatballs:
1 lb. ground turkey
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 egg
1 tsp. sherry
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 scallions, chopped
3 oz. Hoisin sauce
1/4 cup chopped raw cashews

For Sauce:
6 oz. Hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 cup apple juice
1 tbsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. sherry
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger

Combine all balls ingredients in a bowl. Roll balls the size of walnuts.

Mix sauce ingredients, and bring to a boil. Simmer balls in sauce for 15 minutes.

I made it numerous times, sometimes with turkey, other times with beef, or half beef half chicken - its a huge hit.

DH told me the sauce is like chicken teriyaki at Panda Express (this is supposed to be a compliment)."
