4 to 6 whole chicken breasts (bone in), split in half
Preheat the oven to broil.
Place chicken pieces in a large ovenproof pan. Season with garlic powder and brown under the broiler for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until brown.
In a large pot mix together the remaining ingredients. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 10 to 15 minutes.
Reduce oven to 350°F and remove chicken. Pour plum sauce over chicken and return to oven. Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes, turning breasts once, and basting occasionally, until chicken is done.

6 ounces frozen lemonade, undiluted
2/3 cup chili sauce
10 to 12 ounces plum jam or preserves
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 32-ounce can pitted plums, drained, optional
This is a favorite plum chicken recipe of mine it is a great company dish that can be made ahead or frozen. I usually double the recipe to have an extra company meal in my freezer.
