Matzo Balls, Crisco (P, KLP, TNT)

1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. hot water or broth
1/3 cup Crisco
2/3 cup matzo meal

Beat the egg slightly. Add the salt, nutmeg, and water. Melt the Crisco and add to the egg. Stir in the matzo meal and form balls.

These may be cooked immediately in salted boiling water or in soup, or kept cold until wanted and then cooked. Boil 20 minutes.
