2 cups cranberries, fresh or frozen
Place all ingredients in a heavy-bottom 4-quart saucepan. Cook over low to medium heat until cranberries and apples are softened and mixture is beginning to turn to compote (approximately 10 to 15 minutes).
Adjust tartness to taste with more orange juice and sugar if you wish. Cook until mixture is thick.
Keep refrigerated for up to one week.

2 tbsp. sweet red wine
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
