Glaze:
Crumb butter into flour, add sugar, salt and baking powder. Make a hole in center of mixture and add beaten egg, milk and water and knead into a soft firm dough.
Roll out on a well floured board about 1/4" thick, brush with a little milk, then sprinkle raisins, nuts, cinnamon and sugar.
Roll up and cut into 1" thick slices and put on well greased baking tins, putting the cut side facing up.
Brush over with beaten egg and bake in hot oven for about 7 to 10 minutes.
While they are still hot put over a thin icing made from icing sugar a few drops of lemon juice and 3 to 4 big spoons of boiling water.

Cinnamon and sugar mixed
Icing sugar
Few drops lemon juice
Boiling water
While searching for a Pesach recipe I found one of my favorite cookie recipes which I got of a "old" friend of my parents in Israel. She was South African, I suppose the recipe is South African.
