1 cake yeast
Dissolve yeast in milk. Mix together with flour, sugar, butter, egg, and salt. Let rise, then roll out and cut.
Put water, shortening, and salt into an iron pot. Let boil and put cut noodles in to cook.
Cover pot and let water cook away. You should have noodles you can use in a soup, etc.

Here is a very old recipe for dampf noodles from my grandmother. It's from the turn of the century (last that is :) ) and I do not have very exact instructions.
