Macaroni and Cheese, Deli (D, TNT)

Serves: 4

8 ounces elbow macaroni, uncooked
2 cups cream-style cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, or a combination of Jack and Cheddar

Cook macaroni until just a bit underdone. Drain well.

Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, salt and pepper. Stir in shredded cheese. Mix well. Stir in cooked macaroni.

Spoon mixture into a greased/buttered 2-quart casserole or 9" baking dish. Cover and bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes.

Uncover and sprinkle with paprika. Bake 5 minutes longer.
