Lasagna, Cheese-Spinach IV (D, TNT)

3 containers 3% fat cottage cheese
2 cubes frozen spinach
1 carrot, shredded
1/2 onion, diced
1 cup packaged shredded yellow cheese [as for pizza]
Garlic or garlic powder to taste
Italian herbs frozen or powdered to your taste
1 egg
Tomato sauce
Lasagna noodles which do not require precooking

Microwave the spinach, carrot, and onion in a bowl until cooked, then mix in the cheeses, egg, and seasonings.

Preheat oven to 300°F.

Assemble the lasagna with a few spoonfuls of sauce in the pan, then noodles, cheese mixture, sauce for 3 to 5 layers depending upon your pan's depth. Top the last layer with sauce and a generous layer of shredded yellow cheese.

Bake uncovered at 300°F until the top is golden.

Poster's Notes:
I use cottage cheese for my lasagna. It does not get runny. I think that the egg and mixing yellow cheese with the cottage cheese helps prevent wateriness.
