10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed
Combine the spinach, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, and eggs in a bowl.
In a greased, 11-3/4"x9-1/4" pan, pour a very thin layer of spaghetti sauce. Cover the sauce with noodles (I always use 3 noodles for each noodle layer). Top that with half the spinach mixture. If desired, place 6 slices American cheese, then 1/3 spaghetti sauce. Cover the sauce with another layer of uncooked noodles. Spoon on the other half of the spinach mixture over the spaghetti sauce layer, then the 6 remaining cheese slices, then another 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce, then another layer of uncooked noodles. Cover the noodles with the last 1/3 of spaghetti sauce.
Lightly grease a piece of foil and tightly cover the pan. Bake for one hour at 350°.
