Tempura Batter (P, TNT)

1 egg yolk
1 cup ice water
1 cup rice flour

In a mixing bowl, lightly beat egg yolk and pour in ice water, slightly mix.

Add the flour all at once, stroke a few times with a fork just until ingredients are loosely combined. The batter should be somewhat lumpy.

Poster's Notes:
It is soooo very important that the water is ICE COLD or else this will not fry well. You may want to add an ice cube or two to make sure the batter stays cold while frying.
