Tomato Pudding I (P, TNT)
Source: Ida Gardner, my mother (z'l) who was a caterer
Serves: 10

1 28-oz. can tomatoes, sieved
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 cup brown sugar
8 slices bread, cubed
1/3 cup melted margarine

Bring tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar to a boil.

Put the cubed bread in a greased casserole. Pour melted margarine over the bread cubes. Toss.

Pour tomatoes over. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
