Noodle Kugel, Savory Dairy (D, TNT)

Serves: 4-8 servings depending on it being a side or main dish

1 lb. broad egg noodles-cooked by package directions
1 onion, grated or finely chopped
2-3 eggs lightly beaten
1/2-1 lb. cottage cheese
Dollop of sour cream (optional but good!)
Parmesan or grated cheddar cheese (optional)
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Mix all the ingredients together and bake in a well buttered casserole dish (I use a rectangular Pyrex one or a round ceramic that is fairly deep) in a 325°-350° oven until cooked through and brown on top.

Poster's Notes:
If you are adventurous, you might try heating this up with a bit of Tabasco or red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeno, but make sure you know your crowd.
