1 28-oz. can pear halves in juice
In an 8-cup casserole or baking dish, combine pears and 1 cup of their juice and everything else.
Cover and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until apricots are soft. Serve warm or cold.

1 cup large pitted prunes
1/2 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
I prefer to eat this compote warm but it is good cold as well.
