Fruit Compote II (P, KLP, TNT)

Serves: 8 generous servings

1 8 oz. bag dried pitted prunes
1 8 oz. bag dried pitted apricots
1 8 oz. bag dried fruit
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup slivered almonds
1 stick of cinnamon
1 cup of orange juice
2 cups cold water

Place everything except almonds in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for approximately 30 minutes or until fruit softens.

Place almonds on a greased cookie sheet and toast at 450°F for 5-10 minutes, until browned. After fruit is removed add almonds and serve while still warm.
