Fresh Fruit Compote I (D, KLP)

Serves: 10-12

10 plums
3 peaches
6 apricots
1/2 lb. seedless grapes
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp. lemon juice
2-1/2 tbsp. honey
1 lemon, sliced
sour cream

Peel and halve the plums, peaches, and apricots. Remove the stems from the grapes.

In a small saucepan mix together the water, cinnamon and sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved.

Add the honey and the lemon juice. Put the fruit in the crockpot and pour the syrup over it. Put the lemon slices on top of the fruit.

Cover and cook on the low setting for about 6 hours. Serve warm or chilled topped with a spoonful of sour cream (fat-free yogurt would work too for a low fat dish).
