Apples, Butterscotch (P)

Yield: Approximately 1-1/4 cups

1 cup sugar
2 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 tablespoon vinegar
few grain salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix sugar, salt, butter, syrup, and water in saucepan. Stir over low flame until mixture begins to boil.

Then, cook without stirring until it reaches "band snap" stage. Add coloring and vanilla. Dip apples.
