1/4 cup bourbon
Combine first 8 ingredients in a large zip-lock bag, add salmon to bag. Seal and marinate in refrigerator 1-1/2 hours, turning bag occasionally. Preheat broiler.
Remove salmon from bag, reserving marinade. Place on broiler pan (I covered mine in foil so I wouldn't lose the marinade) and broil for about 8 minutes, until fish flakes when tested with a fork. Baste with additional marinade while cooking.

A couple of days before Rosh Hashanah I decided I didn't want to make separate entrees for the vegetarians among us, and since they are willing to eat fish I set out to find a new salmon recipe. This one is fabulous--a real keeper. And it's the closest thing to "fast food" you can imagine. I put it under the broiler, we had soup, and it was perfectly ready. Obviously, you can multiply this recipe (which I did) without a problem.
