Gefilte Fish Loaf, Basic (P, KLP, TNT)

Serves: 6 to 8

1 frozen loaf of gefilte fish, unwrapped
Enough water to barely cover the bottom of a small loaf pan

Preheat oven to 350°.

Run gefilte fish under warm water to make removing the wrapper easier. Use a small loaf tin. Put enough water to barely cover the bottom of the tin. Cover tightly with foil. Bake for 1/2 hour.

Remove from oven (but keep the oven on), uncover, and pour out most of the water. Put it back in the oven.

Bake for another 1/2 hour uncovered or until there is a slight golden brown crust on top.

Poster's Notes:
I find that without this crust, the inside of the loaf tends to be underdone.
