Tiramisu III (D, TNT)

Serves: 8 to 10

8 ounces mascarpone cheese
8 ounces heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brewed espresso coffee, cold
2 tablespoons rum
3 ounces lady fingers
Cocoa powder

Using fork, mix together cheese, cream, and sugar until ingredients are well combined. Using wire whisk, whisk together until creamy.

Mix espresso with rum; set aside.

Place half of the lady fingers in a deep dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the espresso mixture.

Spread with half of the cheese mixture.

Put remaining lady fingers on top of cheese mixture. Soak with remaining coffee. Spread with remaining cheese mixture.

Sift cocoa over top. If desired, grate a chocolate bar over the top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Poster's Notes:
Regarding the ladyfingers, the harder, Italian type are traditional for tiramisu.
