1/3 cup sugar
In medium saucepan combine sugar, corn starch and salt. Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat and boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in margarine and vanilla.
Pour into serving bowls. Cover; refrigerate.
EASY CHOCOLATE PUDDING: Increase sugar to 2/3 cup and add 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa with corn starch.
EASY BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE PUDDING: Add 1 square (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, broken in pieces, with milk.
EASY BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING: Substitute 1/2 cup packed brown sugar for sugar.

This is a very good very TNT recipe for chocolate pudding. I originally got it from the box of cornstarch. I made only the chocolate but the rest came from the Argo cornstarch website and I thought you might like to have the variations as well. I did make the vanilla once but we all preferred the chocolate. For variation you could also add slices of banana. I have made it with skim milk to reduce the fat.
I froze them in.Popsicle forms for a frozen treat for the kids in the summer. They were scrumptious.
