Pudding, Bread w/Vanilla Sauce (D, TNT)

6 thick slices of bread, cut into 1/2" cubes
1 cup hot water
1 cup brown sugar, packed
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups warm milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt

Place the bread in a greased 2-quart baking dish. Mix the hot water and brown sugar in a bowl. Pour over the bread.

Combine the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and mix well. Pour over the top.

Bake at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
