Pudding, Apples and Cranberries (D, TNT)

Serves: 4-6

4 cups bread crumbs, toasted
3-4 apples Granny Smith, pare, core, and slice thin
1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground fresh
3 tablespoons butter
2 cups cranberries

Place 1/2 of the apples in greased baking dish.

Sprinkle with 1/2 sugar and nutmeg. Dot with 1/2 the butter. Add 1/2 the bread crumbs and cranberries. Repeat, ending with the crumbs.

Dot with the butter and bake in preheated 350°F hot oven for 1 hour. Serve hot with lemon pudding.
