1 10-oz. package of frozen strawberries, partially defrosted
Prepare gelatin using 1 cup of water. Add chopped strawberries and all the juice. Chill until solid.
Meanwhile add 1 tsp. vanilla to heavy cream, whip it and sweeten with confectioners' sugar to taste. Whip until stiff but be careful it does not turn to butter.
When gelatin and strawberry mixture is solid, break it up thoroughly by stirring vigorously then and fold in whipped cream. Put the mixture into a pretty bowl and garnish with a whole strawberry if you have one.
