Sherbet, Lemon (D/P, KLP, TNT)

Serves: 6-8

1-3/4 cups sugar
Grated rind of 1-1/2 lemons
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup half and half
3-1/2 cups milk

Add each ingredient, whisking, in the order given or the recipe will not work.

In a large bowl mix the sugar and lemon rind. Whisk in the lemon juice, mixing well. Slowly add the half and half and milk, whisking until everything is well blended.

Pour into pie pans or freezer trays and freeze, covered.

Poster's Notes:
You can probably substitute a pareve milk substitute.
