Ice Cream Pie, Macaroon (D, KLP, TNT)

Serves: 12

1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
1/3 cup orange juice
1 pint heavy sweet cream
1 10-oz. can Passover macaroons
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Sauce:
2 10-oz. packages frozen strawberries
8 tsp. orange juice

Make Pie:
Soften ice cream. Whip cream. Crumble macaroons. Mix all together with the 1/3 cup orange juice.

Pour into a large springform pan and top with the almonds.

Place in freezer until 15 minutes before serving. Remove sides of pan and place on serving platter.

Make Sauce and Assembly:
Heat strawberries and the 8 tsp. of orange juice until they come to a boil. Serve over ice cream or serve on the side for guests to take, if desired.
