3 cups milk
1 cup cream
1 cup coffee beans
1 cup sugar
Bring milk, cream, and coffee beans to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
Strain. Add sugar and mix well. Cool in the refrigerator. Freeze in ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's instructions.
This makes an almost white ice cream, but the flavor is quite strong.
Poster's Notes:
I have a friend who uses all milk, but adds the hot milk to butter in a blender to up the fat a little. The texture isn't as good, but it's a lot easier if you don't keep cream in the house all the time...
