Crisp, Apple I (D/P, TNT)

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup mandelbread crumbs, finely chopped (or toasted sponge cake crumbs)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup soft margarine, or butter - grease, for baking dish
2-1/2 cup apples, peeled/thinly sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice

In small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, crumbs, cinnamon, and margarine or butter. Mix until crumbly.

Grease a 6"x10" baking dish (or 9"x9" square).

Arrange apples in baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Spread crumbly mixture over the apples.

Bake in preheated 375°F oven 25-30 minutes, until apples are tender.

Poster's Notes:
This is great plain, served warm, or add vanilla ice cream on top for something special!
