Pinwheel Cookies I (P, TNT)
Source: Back of the packet of Dagan Flour Mill flour in Israel
Yield: 12 to 16

4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 packet (3 tsp.) baking powder
1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 tsp. vanilla essence
200g (2 sticks) margarine for baking, no added salt
2 eggs
2 tbsp. cocoa
4 drops rum

Knead together the flour, baking powder, eggs, margarine, vanilla sugar, and 3/4 cup sugar to a smooth pastry. Divide the pastry into two equal pieces.

To one of the pieces add the cocoa, rum, and 1/4 cup remaining sugar and knead well.

Roll out each piece separately to a large oblong. Place the brown oblong onto the white one and roll them up together.

Cut the roll into slices and place slices on baking tray. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
