Honey Drops (D/P, TNT)
Source: My mother Mrs. Betty Greene (Robert)
Yield: About 6 dozen

3-1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder (yes, this is correct)
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup butter or margarine
1-1/3 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 egg
1 cup seedless raisins
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are nice)
1 teaspoon vanilla

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, and nutmeg. Cream butter and sugar; add honey and egg. Beat until fluffy. Stir in flour mixture; add raisins, nuts and vanilla. Mix until thoroughly blended. Chill dough.

Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on baking racks.

Poster's Notes:
This is yet another of my mom's recipes. It, too, was published years ago in the Beth Am Temple cookbook. They are easy to make. Use any mild honey.
