Halvah Nut Cookies (P)
Source: From a magazine
Serves: varies

200g (about 7 oz.) halvah
100g (about 3 oz.) hazelnuts, ground
75g (about 2-1/2 oz.) flour
75g (about 2-1/2 oz.) icing sugar (confectioners' sugar)
75g (about 2-1/2 oz.) margarine or butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
50g (about 1-1/2 oz.) nutty nougat
Icing sugar for sprinkling on top

Knead the halvah using the mixer. Add ground nuts. Stir in softened fat and eggs. Mix flour with cinnamon and icing flour (sugar). Knead flour mixture into the fat. Cover dough and chill for one hour.

Line a baking tray with baking parchment. Pipe pieces the size of a hazelnut.

Bake at 100°C (212°F) for 15 minutes.

Sandwich together with nougat. Glacé icing is optional.

Poster's Notes:
Nutty nougat is nougat with nuts in it.

Archivists note: The nougat probably needs to be softened before using it with the cookies.
