Chocolate Chip Zucchini Cookies (D/P, TNT)

Yield: 4 to 5 dozen

3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups zucchini, grated
2-1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
1 6-ounce package chocolate chips

Cream butter or margarine and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Stir in zucchini. Stir in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add almonds and chocolate chips.

Drop by heaping teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.
