1 stick butter, plus 2-2/3 tbsp. butter
Use a heavy duty mixer since the dough is very heavy.
Mix butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs, baking powder, and vanilla.
Add flour until combined. Don't over mix. Add chips last. Put into a well greased 9"X13" pan. If in glass pan, cook at 325°F; if in metal pan, cook at 350°F for 30 minutes; check for doneness at 25 minutes, don't over cook and they will be chewy. Cool for 1/2 hour and then cut into squares.
