2/3 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 package vanilla sugar (3 tsp.)
4 cups rolled oats
Topping:
6 oz. chocolate chips (3/4 cup)
2/3 cup peanut butter
Make Cookie Base:
Cream margarine and sugar. Stir in corn syrup, vanilla and oats.
Spread in a well greased 9"x13" pan. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes. (Will seem very soft to the touch.) Cool.
Make Topping:
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat. Spread over oatmeal mixture. Cut into bars. Keep refrigerated, covered.
